We are thrilled to begin work on the Idaho Brewers Trail app! This will replace the physical printed map that we have relied on and move to a much more useful format. The app will be able to be updated consistently and you will have access to add/edit more content such as your tap room hours, special events, and photos. There will also be an option to add discounts or coupons for your tap room but that is completely optional (and if you do, you can modify or revoke the promo at any time).

We’re also gamifying the experience with a passport. Users will check into your location (geo-fenced for integrity) to earn points. The more locations they check into, the more points earned. Points can be redeemed for prizes supplied by Idaho Brewers United such as stickers, pins, lip balm, hats, etc.

The total cost is $22,275 for the initial set-up and first year of annual fees.  Fortunately, The Idaho Hop Growers Commission has committed $16,175 toward the project. These dollars represent a portion of the strong beer taxes coming back to support your business!  IBU fought hard for this arrangement whereby funds can be shared to promote the brewing industry in Idaho.   And by the way, it is only one of many beer-related projects/events the Hop Commission supports with strong beer tax dollars.

Although the Hop Commission is contributing a big share of the cost, we need your financial support as well. We’re asking every brewery to contribute a one-time set-up fee of $125 per location. To pay for your location(s), you can mail a check to Idaho Brewers United PO Box 6414 Boise, ID 83707. Alternatively, scroll down to pay online with a credit card.

If the set-up contribution is a challenge for you, please contact us and we will work together to find a way forward.
